Leitrim Supporters Club have organised a bus to the Allianz League Leitrim v Carlow match this Sunday in Dr Cullen Park (subject to sufficient uptake). Minor League

Our Minor football team played round 3 of the league last Saturday at home versus Dromahair with the visitors emerging victorious on the day. Next up for the Minors is St Manchans in Mohill this Saturday at 11.30am. Best of luck to the team and management.

Foundation Award Course

Over the last two weekends 12 new coaches from the club have successfully completed the Foundation Award Course. Many thanks to James Glancy who delivered the training, the 12 enthusiastic trainers who completed it and the children who volunteered for the practical sessions.

Weekend Results

It was a great weekend for the our 3 adult teams with our Seniors recording an away win over Melvin Gaels (1-11 to 0-4), our Division 2 team taking the points against visitors Drumkeerin (1-10 to 0-10) and our Division 3 team winning away to Kiltubrid (2-8 to 2-4). Well done to all concerned and thanks to our supporters who turned out in such great numbers at all the venues.

U14 Boys training continues every Monday evening at 6.45 at the Astro Turf in Diffreen. 2 per player.

Club Membership

All club players at adult, juvenile and ladies levels are reminded that their club membership should have been paid by now as training in all grades has started with some teams already in competition. Anyone with membership fees still outstanding should pay by the deadline of 17th March to Phil Flynn. Supporters are invited to become members of the club for an annual fee of 25.

Glencar Manorhamilton GAA Club Notes W/C 11/2/13

The Pull

Glencar Manorhamilton GAA Club will host a new Gaelic games themed play called THE PULL in the Bee Park Community Centre on Saturday March 2nd at 8pm. Admission is 10. Its about a GAA club that runs into some financial trouble, but it's not nearly as big a deal as they think. Basically, Ballybore GAA club are only 1,000 in debt but it feels like 1m to the main people involved in the club. This is a pitch fundraiser for the club and members at all grades are asked to support. Contact Maureen McTernan (0833743175) Ann McGriskin (0872473620) for details.

Sympathy

The club offers sincere sympathy to John Reynolds and family Leckaun on the death of Ita Reynolds and to Cathal Duffy of the Market Bar on the death of his father Charlie in Enniskillen. May they Rest in Peace.

Weekend Football Fixtures

Our Minor team play round 3 of the league this Saturday at home versus Dromahair at 11.30am. Later on that day our adult Division 3 team travel to play Kiltubrid at 3.30. On Sunday our Senior team make the short trip to Kinlough to take on Melvin Gaels at 1.30 and our supporters and players dash home for our Division 2 game versus Drumkeerin at 3pm in the Bee Park. All support is greatly appreciated by our teams.

TainConnacht League result, Cluainn Glencar/Manorhamilton 1-08 Tuam 2-04. This was a great result for such a young team on duty. Weekend Football Fixtures

Our Minor team play round 2 of the league this Saturday versus St Marys at 11.30. Please check with officers of club for venue details. Later on that evening our adult football season kicks off with our Division 2 team away to St Marys at 3.30pm. On Sunday our senior team begin the defence of their senior league title with a home game versus newly promoted Gortletteragh at 1.30pm.

Minors

Our Minor footballers got their league campaign off to a great start with a victory away in Carrigallen in what was a very good team performance. Keep up the good work lads.

Hurling News

Cluainin Iomaint we're defeated at the weekend in the Tain League on a scoreline of Carrick 2-05, Cluainin 0-6 and their next league game is this Saturday versus Tuam, at 2.30 at the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence. Under 8/10s Hurling at 3.45pm every Wednesday at St Clares NS Under 14s on Thursdays at 4pm. All new members welcome.
